Needed a cute lunch to take advantage of the lovely spring weather, and The Fat Shallot delivered!! BLT was amazing, as was the ginger lemonade. Sandwiches don't come with fries/chips, but the portions are generous. Service was also quicker than I expected, and seating is first come/first serve with counter service. I will be back, especially when in the area for the farmers market!

I finally checked out Fat Shallot since I live close by and kept hearing good things. Came in mostly to try their Reuben sandwich, and it was really solid! Great flavor, perfectly toasty bread--my only wish is that it had a bit more meat. I also tried the pesto chicken, and while it tasted good, it was a little on the dry end. If you like your sandwiches on the juicier side, I'd suggest asking for extra sauce. Overall, it's a nice spot with friendly staff and some tasty sandwiches.

Stopped into The Fat Shallot after a trip to the zoo, which was only a quick 10-minute walk away. They have a few tables inside, it wasn't too busy, so we were able to dine in comfortably. The menu is pretty straightforward, featuring a few sandwich options, a couple of salads, and fries. They also serve some beer and liquor, which was a nice touch if you're in the mood to drink with your meal. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of truffle fries, and the food came out in less than five minutes! The service was quick and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. The buffalo chicken sandwich was fantastic--just the right level of spice and served with four generously sized chicken tenders. The only tricky part was that two tenders slid out with my first bite, so keep a fork handy! The truffle fries were also spot-on; the truffle sauce added great flavor without being overwhelming. All in all, The Fat Shallot was a solid, quick spot for a good sandwich and fries. I'd definitely stop by again!

I used to live right next to the fat shallot and the truffle smell would draw me right in! It's a great quick sandwich spot with very reasonable prices for the size of the sandwiches! I loved both sandwiches but I must say the truffle BLT is a treasure!

Unless your food is awful, you going to get four stars just because you have outdoor seating. Fortunately, their food is not bad . Truffle fries are not bad. The aioli is little bit heavy infused in mayo. The Ruben gets really thick cuts of meat unlike a traditional deli where it's finely shaved( prefer finely shaved). They do serve alcohol such as cocktails, beer, wine etc. Warning no coffee though, had to get it from firecake donuts.

I have walked by here probably hundreds of times and have always said I needed to try fat shallot solely because of how good it always smells outside. The space is pretty small but cute and casual; you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Very affordable so a great spot for a casual lunch! The menu is pretty small but quite the range of sandwiches. I admired the gigantic jar of cookies and pickles at the counter as I ordered - will have to come back for those. I got the chicken pesto sandwich as it was highly recommended. It was huge! I really liked the peppers on it, but I wish there was more pesto / sauce. The chicken was a little dry so it needed more a sauce to balance it out. If I come back, I'll probably try the Turkey or BLT instead, and probably a chocolate chip cookie too bc those looked fire.

This definitely hit the spot when I was craving a sandwich. Walked by and it was popping so seemed like the place to be. First thing I noticed was the menu here, definitely no nonsense on this thing. Just a few solid options that they do well. However, it would be nice if they listed the prices. Tbh still don't really know how much each item was, just know the total bill. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich: 4/5 This thing is an absolute beast lol- maybe even too much so. Kind of sandwich that you can't put down once you start eating it just due to how many napkins you're gonna need to wipe your hands. That being said I was super hungry so ate the thing in about 2 minutes anyway. Very filling and pretty delicious. The sauce is a bit overwhelming and vinegar-y and there's not much else on the sandwich for a flavor switch up so hope you like buffalo sauce! (luckily I do) J think it would be really good if I added arugula or something - again I didn't really know what was on it due to how simple the menu was. Anyway, overall it was delicious and hit the spot Truffle Fries: 5/5 Maybe I was just craving fires or something but these hit a lil different. The truffle/horseradish sauce they had on the fires was Ginger Lemonade: 5/5 No notes - tasted super fresh and loved the ginger Pops got the turkey sandwich, he gives it a 3/5. Says it's pretty plain but he's a sucker for a pretzel bun. Staff was super nice I appreciated they have a water station after all that buffalo sauce I ate

The food was absolutely amazing. The Buffalo chicken dip chicken sandwich was delicious and the right amount of spice and the Rueben also had the perfect amount of kraut and a lot of meat. The only thing is the order took a bit longer than expected.

Cute little sandwich spot right in Lincoln Park. I stopped in mid-afternoon, after a doctor's appointment in the area, and it was pretty empty. Note: there's no designated parking lot - just street parking. I ended up taking my order to go, but there are a few tables inside to enjoy the fare in a simple, laid-back atmosphere. I ordered the truffle BLT and it was ready in just a few minutes. They stacked the sandwich full of bacon goodness, so it was quite decadent but very delicious. It was around $12 for the sandwich (w/o tax or tip) but given the portion size and ingredients, I thought this was a fair value. I would definitely swing by again if in the neighborhood.
